Why does the Coffee to Water Ratio Matter?
Controlling your water variable helps you to get consistent cups of coffee every time you brew. Ignoring the variable greatly affects your brewing outcome: if you put too little water, it'll be overly strong and overpowering, if you put to much, the flavors are lost and often over-extracted, both making undesirable cups of coffee.
We usually use a 1:15 ratio of coffee grounds to water as our go-to, and it's just right.
